Daughter became 'distressed over father's call'

Mother said she got a call from the girl's school
A girl was distressed as a result of a call made by her father, it was claimed at Naas District Court.
The girl’s mother sought the protection of the court under family law legislation.
The woman told the court that Tusla, the child and Family Agency, had advised her not to allow the children near him.
She said she got a call from the girl’s school to say she was distressed over a call.
The girl, she added, is participating in a student team support project in school.
The woman further claimed that the man, who was not present in court, said he would take her.
She added that the girl is struggling in school because of anxiety.
The man did not appear in court and was not represented.
She further claimed that he has a history of “hurting me and threatening me.”
Judge Desmond Zaidan granted an interim protection order and adjourned the matter for a fuller hearing to June 11.
