A designer footwear chain based in Kildare Village has seen its Irish sale profits reach almost €19 million in 2015.

Kurt Geiger, a British chain who specialise in designer shoes and accessories, increased their operating profits to €765,000 in 2015, while sales jumped by almost 18% to €18.7 million according to the Sunday Times.

Although Kurt Geiger operates out of top department stores such as Brown Thomas, Debenhams and Arnotts, the independent Kildare Village store is thought to be one of the major factors behind the boost in profits. The store opened in 2014 and has become a popular destination for visitors to the Kildare shopping outlet.

The total revenue for Kurt Geiger in 2014 was a reported £260 million pound worldwide.
