Family appeal for information on man killed near Prosperous 25 years ago

The family of a murdered Tyrone man have appealed for information regarding his death more than 25 years later.
Des Fox, a bookmaker from Dungannon, was killed near Prosperous in September 1990 when he was on the way to the Curragh Races. The 47-year-old bookie was shot in the leg and bled to death during the brutal attack on 30 September 1990. He was robbed of around €20,000 that he was in possession of at the time.
Those responsible for the father-of-three's death have never been brought to justice, and his family have issued a renewed appeal for anyone who may have information on his death to come forward. They have released numerous appeals in the past number of years, and they hope that this latest one is aimed at stirring the conscience of anyone who may know something.
Today 100 members from the Edendork GAA Club, where Fox was chairman, are in his memory cycling back to Co Tyrone from the place where he died.
