Gardai call on sports clubs to improve security

Kildare Gardai have called on sports clubs to review their security to ensure they are not the victims of break-ins.

Three organisations - Newbridge Rugby Club, Rheban GAA Club and Kildangan GAA club were all hit by burglars in recent days.

Gardai believe that criminals see unoccupied sports clubs as an easy touch when it comes to security so anti-burglary systems must be more effective deterrents.
