Gardaí in Newbridge, County Kildare launch investigation following criminal damage by fire incident

Member of An Garda Síochána in Newbridge have launched an investigation following a criminal damage by fire incident earlier this morning.
When asked about the incident, a garda spokesperson told the Leinster Leader: "Gardaí attended the scene of an incident of criminal damage by fire at a domestic residence in Newbridge, County Kildare this morning, Wednesday, May 29, 2024.
"The incident occurred at approximately 5.20am."
The spokesperson continued: "The fire was extinguished by the local fire service."
"There are no reports of injuries at this time."
They concluded: "Investigations are ongoing."
