A man who was found with over €5,000 worth of cocaine faces a claim of having the drug for sale or supply.
Patrick Doran, 41, whose address was given as 3437 Lakeside Park, Newbridge, is being prosecuted for alleged possession of the drug at Cloncumber, Ballyteague, Kilmeague, on September 13, 2019.
Sgt Mary Meade told Naas District Court that a search was carried out after a warrant was obtained and the drug was found along with drug paraphernalia.
Judge Desmond Zaidan sent the case forward for trial at Naas Circuit Court.
He told the defendant that if an alibi forms any part of his defence he must give details of this to the prosecution in advance.
