KILDARE ANIMALS IN NEED: Bob finally finds his forever home

KWWSPCA
Normally dogs coming into our care are adopted within a few short weeks from their arrival.
Lovely lurcher Bob stayed with us for a lot longer than we expected. He came to us from Kilkenny/Carlow Pound last November and has been waiting patiently for the right home since then.
Over the nine months he has watched so many other dogs come and go, but for some reason nobody noticed Bob. In his time at the shelter he visited schools for educational talks, meeting lots of children, and he attended many shows and events.
So he did have a busy social life and all the shelter volunteers had a huge love for him.
This week a family adopted him and he is now enjoying a quiet life in rural Roscommon.
The children in the family adore him, and on the day that they visited the shelter to see him they were bumping into each other and Bob so much with excitement that the four year old called him ‘Silly Goose’ resulting in his new name, Goose.
We are delighted that Goose is loving life and has made the family couch his own space.
Tough start
In last week’s article we featured two kittens who had a tough start in life as they had been thrown out of a moving car on the M50.
Delighted to report that they were both adopted from our Kitty Cottage and went to loving homes this week.
