KILDARE ANIMALS IN NEED: Consider option of adopting older cat

KWWSPCA Column
From time to time we take in an older cat who is interested in an easy life.
We We have now set up a new adoption process for these elderly pets.
When you become a 'Senior Saviour' you are adopting an older cat that is quiet and settled and just wants food, love, and a warm home.
You take care of the day to day running costs like food, litter and flea/worm doses when needed.
We will look after the bigger expenses like veterinary fees.
We will also provide a home for the cat should you be unable to care for it through illness or any other event.
Thank you to Ellen (pictured) who has become our very first ‘Senior Saviour’ by adopting beautiful Oscar.
If you are interested in becoming a Senior Saviour, please text our Cat Unit at 089 4588162 for more details.
Two lovely old Jack Russel Terriers called Woody and Peanut came into our care recently.
We made an appeal for a special retirement home for what our volunteers referred to as our pair of “old men”.
They are aged at least ten.
They were quite happy to go for slow walks at the shelter and to stay close to each other at all times.
For this reason we needed to find a person who would adopt them both, so that they could live their twilight years together.
We were delighted to find a kind animal lover called Sean who adopted them recently.
Both dogs have settled in and love their new home.
