Kildare-based carer chosen as a finalist for national awards

Josephine Doyle honoured for outstanding client care, passion, and dedication
A Kildare-based carer has been announced as a regional winner of the Comfort Keepers Homecare Carer of the Year Awards 2024 at a special day of celebrations at the leading Irish home care provider.
Josephine Doyle received the prestigious accolade for her outstanding client care, passion, and dedication to her work in the community.
She received the award at an event on June 26 at Comfort Keepers’ Kildare branch office attended by family, friends, and her Comfort Keepers colleagues, also marking the company’s National Day of Joy to encourage joy and elevate the human spirit in everyday moments.
Comfort Keepers, the nationwide, quality provider of award-winning home care services, employs over 60 people at its Kildare base. On the day, the team also celebrated its valued employees with 5, 10 and 15 years’ service who together have been providing vital home care across Kildare. The team also took this opportunity to unveil Comfort Keepers’ new brand identity.
Josephine was chosen as one of eleven branch finalists from around the country.
Josephine (60) lives in Rathangan (originally from Kildare Town). She has been caring with Comfort Keepers for seven years. She came to caring because it was something she always wanted to do; she always wanted to help people towards the end of their lives.
Collette Gleeson, Managing Director at Comfort Keepers who also celebrated her 10 years’ service at the event said:"Our annual awards and our Day of Joy is a really important opportunity for us to honour the hard work of members of our teams who have been providing the highest quality care for our clients in their own homes while spreading joy in their communities. Our dedicated home carers are the heart and soul of Comfort Keepers, and Josephine plays a key role in our Kildare-based team. It is only with her dedication to outstanding care and brightening the lives of our clients in the comfort of their own homes, that we can provide people with the highest quality of life that is achievable.
“Josephine exemplifies extraordinary dedication and a boundless willingness to support her clients. She is a fabulous ambassador for Comfort Keepers and an incredibly deserving regional winner for our Carer of the Year awards."
On receiving the accolade, Josephine said:
“I am honoured and very happy with this recognition. My clients are wonderful and full of gratitude towards me and I know when I walk out the door of their home I know I have left them feeling happy and content. I love working for Comfort Keepers because it makes time for its carers and I feel so appreciated here. I always feel I have back up from the girls in the office and I am very grateful for them. My job is so rewarding, and eventually we might all need this help at home so, I am glad to be able to give back.”
