KILDARE COURT: 'Partner headbutted woman and broke her nose'

Allegation
A woman told Naas District Court that her former partner headbutted her and broke her nose.
The woman came to court seeking protection under family law legislation and claimed that she had previously been granted a safety order and it lasted for a year.
She further alleged that her ex-partner had breached the safety order and received the Probation Act.
“I walk around in a constant state of fear. He’s hit me and a file is with the DPP (Director of Public Prosecutions),” she claimed.
She also said she has been attacked in front of the children.
The court was also told that she has moved back in with her mother and father.
The woman further stated that a case on the issue of maintenance was due to take place. Judge Desmond Zaidan granted an interim protection order and adjourned the case for a fuller hearing.
