KILDARE COURT: Woman's partner 'hit her in face and smashed phone'
A woman has alleged she was struck in the face by her ex-partner and he smashed her phone off the floor.
The woman applied for protection at Naas District Court.
She said she picked up her baby and left after the incident, which occurred in an apartment owned by her ex-partner.
She told the court she is now staying with a friend.
She also said that she had a friend accompany her to court to mind her baby.
Her ex-partner was not present in court for the brief hearing.
The court granted the woman a protection order.
The judge advised that she should contact the gardaí if he puts her in fear again.
