KILDARE: Former Taoiseach Bertie Ahern to visit Newbridge

Former Taoiseach Bertie Ahern is to visit Hotel Keadeen, Newbridge at 7.30pm on September 18 to reflect on the signing of "The Good Friday Agreement" on the 25th anniversary of the event. 

The conversation will be hosted by Fianna Fáil Senator Fiona O'Loughlin who will invite Mr Ahern to share the background leading to the talks, the key players involved and how history was achieved by the signing of the Agreement which brought peace to Northern Ireland and the island of Ireland.

Members of the public are welcome to this event which is free of charge.
