Kildare Gardaí carry out "all-night operation" on N7 and detect several offences

Numerous detections were made, including a lorry that was seized after it was found that its driver had manipulated the Tachograph device. 

Court proceedings are to follow. 

Meanwhile, gardaí were asked to patrol an near a local school in Clane. 

Clane Gardaí were on Mountain Bike Patrol to respond to community requests to patrol the Butterstream Road.

The area is where children walk and cycle to school.

Gardaí said a driver was observed on their mobile phone and not wearing a seat belt.

Fines and penalty points were issued to this motorist.
