BURGLARY ACCUSATION

A safe containing around €200 in cash was allegedly stolen from a community centre located in County Kildare.

The allegations were detailed to Judge Desmond Zaidan by gardaí present in Naas District Court on Thursday July 4 last.

It was claimed that Alan Sheridan, with an address listed as 3198 Allendale Drive in Kilcullen, allegedly stole the safe from the Kilcullen Community Centre on June 26 last.

The 37-year-old defendant is facing a charge of burglary as the result of his alleged actions.

According to Garda Sergeant David Hanrahan, Mr Sheridan was identified at the scene via CCTV footage.

As there was no appearance from the accused, Judge Zaidan issued a bench warrant, and also endorsed it.
