Kildare man locked himself in his car and began recording gardai — claim

ACCUSATIONS

A man who allegedly got into an argument with gardaí began recording them and locked himself in his car.

Gardaí told Judge Desmond Zaidan on Thursday, November 10, that Anthony Dunne, with an address listed as Ballyteige North, Robertstown, was asked to produce his driving licence after being stopped on October 22 last.

However, they claim that he failed to comply with their order, and that an argument then ensued, which resulted in the 33-year-old becoming angry with them.

It was heard that Mr Dunne allegedly began recording gardaí, and at one point, accused gardaí of 'stealing a working man’s cash.'

The judge adjourned the case to May 4, 2023 for hearing.
