INCIDENT

An incident that took place at Naas District Court on Thursday, October 26 last, resulted in a man being restrained by gardaí.

The man was due to appear in Naas Courthouse during the proceedings on the date in question.

His defending solicitor, David Gibbons, told Judge Desmond Zaidan about the incident, which explained his absence from the court session.

According to one eyewitness, the man became embroiled in an argument with a garda outside of the courthouse.

The argument between the two parties got so heated, that the man eventually had to be restrained, and was then brought inside the courthouse by a number of gardaí.

Judge Zaidan adjourned the case to a date in the new year, and extended time for the furnishing of a book of evidence against Mr Gibbons' client.
