KILDARE: No motorcycle parking spaces for Naas

Kildare County Council has come out against the notion of providing parking pays for motorcycles.
Cllr Bill Clear asked that the council install motorcycle parking in the centre of Naas town “at an appropriate location.
However there is no provision for motorcycle parking bays in the guidelines issued by the Department of Transport.
And, according to KCC, motorcyclists are expected to use parking bays in the same manner as other vehicles - car park spaces.
Cllr Clear told a Naas Municipal District meeting he made the request because of concerns about the parking of motorbikes on footpaths.
