KILDARE: Pedestrian link beside River Liffey planned in new development

A new pedestrian link beside the River Liffey is being proposed in a new development. 

A planning application was submitted to Kildare County Council for the project.

The mixed-use development is being planned for Bridge House, Main Street, Celbridge.

A pedestrian link to an existing pedestrian bridge over the Liffey to the Main Street is proposed via a new staircase.

The designs include the construction of a new three-storey over lower ground floor level building.

The building will comprise a commercial unit, three one-bedroom apartments with balconies and a one two-bedroom duplex apartment with a balcony.

Also in the plans is a roof terrace, secure bike storage and a communal bin area.
