Kildare Village raised €1,000 for Kildare Animal Foundation from the proceeds of a sale of plants by staff at the luxury mall.
Earlier this summer, internationally renowned florist, Nikki Tibbles used indigenous materials and enlisted local artisans to craft an Enchanted Forest throughout the Village.
The new plants and trees were all native to Ireland. Many of the existing plants were recycled as part of the new installation and the Kildare Village team found alternative uses for the remainder.
Plants were donated to Kildare Tidy Towns and were also installed at several locations in Kildare town including the Courthouse, Kildare Heritage Centre and at the original National Stud entrance on Curragh Road.
Plant saleÂ
The Kildare Village team also held a plant sale for staff and this raised €1,000 which was donated to the Kildare Animal Foundation.
Founded in 1994 by on the outskirts of Kildare town by Geraldine O’Hanlon and a group of very dedicated volunteers, the Kildare Animal Foundation is a non-profit organisation dedicated to the welfare of cats, dogs and small animals.
Located in an ideal setting, the Foundation today cares for almost 100 animals, providing sanctuary to injured, sick and abused animals.
