Kildare woman illegally used elderly man’s bank card — alleged

ACCUSATIONS

A woman has been accused of using an elderly man’s bank card to buy cigarettes for herself.

The allegations were heard in Naas District Court on Thursday, January 12, and relate to Michelle Heavey, with an address listed as 2165 Highfield Estate in Newbridge.

The 38-year-old was accused of using the man’s card to take money out of his bank account four times at different locations across Newbridge on March 10, 2017.

It was heard that Ms Heavey had been caring for the man.

As the accused did not appear in court on the date in question, Judge Desmond Zaidan issued a bench warrant against Ms Heavey.
