Kildare woman stole two hams two days before Christmas, court told

The court was told the woman had a possible cancer diagnosis
A woman who stole two hams two days before Christmas was prosecuted at Naas District Court.
Rosaleen Connors, 32, whose address was given as Apartment 67, The Lawns, Abbeylands, Clane, was before the court for taking the hams at the Super Valu store in Sallins on December 23, 2025. They had a total value of €120.
Sgt Dave Hanrahan told the court the woman returned to pay for the hams.
Solicitor Tim Kennelly said the woman told him that at the time “her head was in the clouds”, to use her own description, over a possible cancer diagnosis. He added she is a mother.
Judge Desmond Zaidan applied the Probation Act.
