LATEST: Plan to convert former Kildare bank into doctor's surgery

Plans have been lodged to convert a former bank into a new doctor's surgery.

A planning application was submitted to Kildare County Council on the matter. 

Being planned for the building on the Main Street, Maynooth, is a change of use of the existing ground floor from bank to doctors surgery.

Also being sought is a change of use of the first floor from vacant office use to a one bedroom apartment.

The designs also include the construction of rear balcony extension at first floor level.

Proposed amendments to the existing front façade will include a new door and window at ground floor level.

The total proposed floor area of the new development is 183 square metres.
