LATEST: Popular Kildare supermarket gets green light for significant renovations

Kildare County Council has issued planning permission for a local supermarket to refurbish its premises.

Being planned are modifications to the ground floor layout and shop facade.
The designs feature a single-storey extension to front of the existing store to provide facilities to allow customers to return plastic bottles to a reverse vending machine in store.
The existing entrance/exit pod will be removed as will be the existing trolley bay.
There will also be works to the car park area.
Lidl said that all the works will comply with required building regulations standards.
