Let's not repeat mistakes made in one part of Kildare

The population increases so more facilities are needed
More services and facilities are needed in a local village as the population increases.
Naas Mayor Bill Clear has asked Kildare County Council to ensure that plans “are in place to facilitate greater community facilities” in Kill.
He pointed out, at a Naas Municipal District meeting, that the population there has reached 4,000.
He said that extra school places are needed along with doctors’ surgeries, creche places, parks and a community centre - but improvements should not be limited to these.
“We need to keep an eye on it that it has its own identity and isn't seen as peripheral to Naas,” he said, adding that mistakes made as Sallins developed shouldn't be repeated in Kill.
He said facilities and infrastructure would be in place when the next phase of development takes place
Sallins councillor Carmel Kelly previously criticised the standard of some development in that town.
