Man from South Kildare accused of assault causing harm offence

ALLEGATION

A man from South Kildare has been accused of committing an assault causing harm offence.

Gardaí present at Naas District Court on Thursday, July 27 alleged that Reese O'Reilly, with an address given as 1442 Kilberry in Athy, committed the offence at Station Road in Kildare on July 12 last.

The alleged offence that the 18-year-old defendant is accused of would be in alleged contravention of Section 3 of the Non-Fatal Offences Against the Person Act, 1997.

Gardaí told presiding Judge Alec Gabbett that a medical report in relation to the alleged injured party is due to be presented before the court.

The judge adjourned the case to December 12 to allow time for this report, as well as to allow time for directions from the Director of Public Prosecutions.
