Man made threats to kill against woman and her partner, Kildare court told

Naas District Court heard on Thursday, November 17, that a man allegedly threatened to kill a woman and her partner.

Judge Desmond Zaidan was told that a relative of the accused was served with a domestic violence order by gardaí.

Upon discovering this, the defendant rang the applicant (the woman in question) and threatened to kill her and her partner.

He also allegedly threatened to burn their home down.

It was heard that children live in the woman's home.

Judge Zaidan refused jurisdiction over the case, due to the serious nature of the allegations, and adjourned it to March 16, 2023 to allow time for a book of evidence.

The defendant was remanded on bail.
