Mediation is now being involved in a Naas District Court domestic matter.

That's according to a couple in the midst of a divorce, who appeared before Judge Desmond Zaidan on Thursday, November 16 last.

They both appeared during an in-camera (in private) court session.

Judge Zaidan pointed out that the man and the woman were sitting beside each-other, and asked them: "What has changed? Are you BFFs now?"

In response, the woman told the judge that her and her ex-partner have agreed to enter into mediation to resolve their issues.

She added that her and her ex-partner are in the process of getting divorced from one another.

"We're being good for the (sake of the) children," the woman said.

When the judge asked the pair if they were happy to be getting divorced, they both replied: "Yes."

"He is happy to be getting his money!" the woman jokingly added.

Upon hearing this, Judge Zaidan agreed to strike-out the case without prejudice.

However, he gave gardaí lberty to re-enter the case at a later date.
