There's a need for a zebra crossing

Motorists are driving through a pedestrian crossing while children are on the road.

That’s according to a local councillor who wants Kildare County Council to improve the route.

Cllr Bill Clear says KCC should upgrade the crossing from the GAA club in Sallins to the pedestrian bridge in the town -  to a zebra crossing.

“This route is heavily used by children walking to primary school,” he said.

He added that “cars are often driving through while they are on the crossing.”
