The Principal of North Kildare ETNS in Celbridge has announced that the primary school will be holding an Open Day on Saturday 13th January 2024 to give parents and their children the opportunity to experience all the school has to offer.

The equality-based, co- educational, democratically- run and child-centred   primary school was established in 1994 as Kildare's first multi-denominational primary school. It is state-funded, non-fee-paying school that teaches the National Curriculum and is open to students of all backgrounds.

As well as a wealth of opportunities for outdoor learning provided by the Class Gardens, Sensory Trail, Discovery Garden and Football Pitches, NKETNS also offers on site afters-school provision and plenty of after-school activities that cater to pupils’ interests.

School Principal Jenny McCarthy says: “Choosing which school to send your child to is a big decision, and one that is particularly difficult to make if you’re not able to see inside the school and meet some of the teachers for yourself ahead of making your applications. Open Days aren’t particularly common place in Kildare but we felt it was imperative to give any parents who are curious about our school the opportunity to come and experience it for themselves.

“Our school is a very special community and one in which we take great pride. When you decide to send your child to NKETNS, you are entering a very important partnership. Together, staff and parents work collaboratively to help every child flourish academically, socially and emotionally in a warm and friendly atmosphere. The team and I very much look forward to giving families a flavour for the type of learning environment we have here and answering any questions they might have.”
