Fewer patients on trolleys in accident and emergency department

There's been a considerable drop in the number of patients being treated on trolleys at Naas Hospital today.

Seven people were on trolleys having been admitted through the accident and emergency department today, as compared with 25 yesterday, which made Naas second only to St Vincent's Hospital as the most overcrowded facility in the eastern region.

There are 35 people trolleys at St Vincent's Hospital today.

At Portlaoise Hospital there are four patients on trolleys and none at Tullamore Hospital.
