Instead of gallivanting off to Stradbally, the Tidy Towns volunteers made the most of last Saturday's fine weather and gave Maynooth a great tidy up.
"Many jobs were lined up for our meet up this morning, firstly the Kildare County Council Car park needed a good scuffle and sweep. For the 3rd time this year we had to scuffle Bond Bridge, thankfully the weedex machine driven by Karim did an expert job and most of the work," the group shared on Facebook.
"We finished trimming the trees on Main Street and Mill Street for 2024. On Wednesday we weeded the pollinator bed on Parsons Street. Litter picking on all the approach roads."
They also thanked everyone who had donated and provided for some well earned teas, coffees and refreshments afterwards.
