Speeding motorists near Kildare cemetery need to be tackled

Kildare County Council has been asked to tackle speeding in the area around Confey cemetery, near Leixlip.

Cllr Bernard Caldwell says speed reduction measures are needed to slow traffic at this location.

Kildare County Council said it’s planned to resurface a section of the route from the junction with Captains Hill. 

Prior to this, an assessment will be carried out on potential traffic calming measures that may be appropriate for this location and this can be done as part of the road works.
