Tommy Callaghan previews the complex weekend of action ahead of the last round of the football

Last round of group games down for decision this weekend and while a lot has already been decided there is still much to play for a number of clubs.

Points totals will initially decide what clubs advance but in the event of points being level there are various methods to decide in the event of club being level, either with other club or more. See info attached.

SFC Group A

Naas unbeaten after two games, they play Sarsfields in the final round with the top spot up for grabs.

Going on what we have witnessed to date, hard to see anything other than a win for the champions Naas.

The third spot between Eadestown (1 point) and Confey (0 points) should see the boys in the light blue make it to the pre-quarter finals.

If that pans out then it will come down to points difference between Sarsfields and Eadestown as to who will be second and who will be third.

SFC Group B

A bit like Group A Celbridge are unbeaten and they now take on Clogherinkoe in the final round and they should have enough to defeat The Cloghs, who are nevertheless playing well.

Athy lie in second place and should have enough to get the better of Allenwood.

Celbridge and Athy to make it through to the quarters while Clogherinkoe should have enough to go to the pre-quarters.

SFC Group C

Unlike Group A and B only two teams advance from Groups C and D and that makes it very interesting.

Topping Group C are Raheens with two wins, they take on Johnstownbridge. The winner will go to quarters and the second to the pre-quarter.

Raheens should prevail.

Carbury and St Laurence's meet in the other game, the loser of this will go to the Relegation final.

Expect Carbury to survive with the Larries in a battle to retain their status.

SFC group D

The most interesting group of them all with all sorts of scenarios as Ray Darcy might say, permeations.

Moorefield are on top with full points; Maynooth are in second with two along with Clane while are Kilcock pointless.

Moorefield and Clane clash this weekend and going on form The Moores should have enough but if Clane bring their 'A' game any thing is possible.

Expect Maynooth to defeat pointless Kilcock. So in the end of the day this group will most likely be decided by scoring differences.

IFC Group A

Leixlip with two wins from two lead the way; Sallins and Rathangan have two points each.

Sallins take on Straffan which they (Sallins) should win while Rathangan take on Leixlip a game you would have to fancy Leixlip.

Straffan look the ones to lose out with Leixlip topping; Sallins in second with Rathangan getting the pre-quarter final spot.

IFC Group B

Round Towers have won both of their games and this week take on Castledermot and are expected to win that one.

St Kevin's take on Ballyteague while Towers play Castledermot.

Another one that will probably have the calculations out, but Towers should go straight through, the rest is in the lap of the gods.

IFC Group C

Milltown are unbeaten and take on Nurney and the leaders would be fancied to win that, Monasterevan take on Ballymore and would be fancied to win that pushing them onto four.

Ballymore will go into relegation final while Nurney will probably fail to advance.

IFC Group D

Caragh are on four points and they will play Kilcullen who have two points; Caragh expected to prevail in that.

Two Mile House play pointless Suncroft and they should have enough which would see Suncroft in the relegation final with Caragh going straight to the quarters and The House to the pre-quarters.

TOM CROSS JFC

The JFC continues with Round 5 in Group A, favourites Grangenolvin are unbeaten with four wins from four; Kill in second with two wins and draw while in third Castlemitchell are in a similar place, two wins a draw.

In Group B, Ellistown and Robertstown lead the way.
