Tributes have poured in for a Kildare 'gentle soul' who passed away this week

Tributes have been paid to a Kildare 'gentle soul' who passed away this week.

Raymond Gamble, Leixlip, Kildare and formerly of Sunday's Well, Co Cork, died peacefully on February 3 2025 at Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown.

Raymond, (Ray) beloved husband of Colette and much-loved father of Stephen, Vincent, Philip and Brendan; sadly missed by his loving family, grandchildren Cillian, Liam, Jack, Eibhlin, Olivia, Penny, Holly, Oscar and Grace, daughters-in-law Caroline, Siobhan, Kelly and Louise, brother Eamon, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

May he rest in peace.

Tributes paid to Raymond on RIP.ie included: "Sincere Sympathy to Colette, Steve, Vinny, Phil, Brendan and the extended Gamble family on the sad passing of Ray. May his gentle soul rest in Peace."

And: "Steve, Caroline, Penny, Olivia and Gamble family, our sincere condolences at this very sad time in your lives."

Another mourner wrote: "Steve, Caroline, Olivia, Penny & all of the Gamble family. I'm sorry to hear of your Father's passing. Will be thinking of you over the next few difficult days. May your Dad & Grandad Rest in Peace."

While another wrote: "To Brendan, Colette, Stephen, Vincent, Phillip and all the Gamble family. We are so sorry for you loss, sending our heartfelt condolences to you all at this sad time. May your lovely dad Ray rest in peace x."

Reposing at Cunningham’s Funeral Home, Lucan on Thursday evening (February 6) between 5pm and 7pm.
