BOOK OF EVIDENCE SERVED

An update has taken place in a Kildare court case surrounding an alleged threat made in the town of Newbridge.

The case concerns 27-year-old Dylan Lennon, with an address listed as 925 Moorefield Cresent in Newbridge, but who is currently remanded in custody.

On Thursday, October 5 last, the court was told that he stood accused of making a threat to a woman in Newbridge, allegedly relating to €10,000 owed for drugs, on September 5 last.

It was alleged by Detective Garda Seamus Doyle that Mr Lennon told the woman that he would 'get men to come down to her and shoot up her house' (Gardaí present on the latest court date also alleged that Mr Lennon was later identified by CCTV).

Det Doyle further alleged that the woman was the mother of a person who owed money for the drugs.

On the latest court date, gardaí served a book of evidence on the accused, and Judge Desmond Zaidan sent his case forward for trial to the present sittings of Naas Circuit Criminal Court.

In addition, Mr Lennon faces a separate accusation of being in possession of €750 worth of suspected ketamine at Langton Cross in Newbridge on September 3, 2019.

Judge Zaidan adjourned this case to November 8 for hearing, and marked the case pre-emptory against the accused.
