NO PREVIOUS CONVICTIONS
A Kildare judge applied the Probation Act for a woman accused of an obstruction offence committed in County Kildare.
Judge Desmond Zaidan made the decision in the case of Philomena Connors, with an address listed as 61 Cruise Park Drive, Tyrrelstown, Dublin 15, County Dublin, at Naas District Court on Thursday, October 5 last.
The court was told earlier this year that the offence took place on the Cleamore Road in Kildare town, on October 8, 2022, at around 4pm.
Ms Connors pleaded guilty to the offence.
On the latest date, Sergeant Mary Meade told Judge Zaidan that the 26-year-old was specifically charged with an obstruction offence, and added that the suspected drugs were never located by gardaí.
Sgt Meade also told the judge that Ms Connors had no previous convictions.
Judge Zaidan decided to apply the Probation Act on Ms Connors.
