Woman 'shaken by heavy drinking husband'
A man who drinks heavily has been shaking and hitting his wife, it was alleged at a Naas District court sitting.
The woman sought protection and claimed that the man abuses her “mentally, physically and financially”.
She told Judge Desmond Zaidan he is a heavy drinker and is violent and aggressive.
“He is hitting me, shaking me and pushing me,” she said. Her husband was not present for the brief hearing.
The woman said that after one incident the gardaí had taken pictures of her bruising.
Judge Zaidan granted an interim protection order and adjourned the case to September 23.
