Big Christmas gift as Laois lotto jackpot won in Portlaoise
Winning numbers were literally a gift
Christmas has come early to two lottery players in Laois after they hit the jackpot with numbers gifted to them in the Portlaoise lotto draw
The popular Portlaoise Parish Lotto was won after the numbers were drawn on Thursday, December 14 in the Portlaoise Parish Centre.
The parish has congratulated players Eithne and Richard O'Hara on winning the top prize of €18,000 in the community supporting fundraiser after their numbers came up when the draw was made by Msgr John Byrne PP.
The winning numbers were: 1, 6, 13, 19. There was no winning promoter this time out since, as luck would have it, the winning numbers were a gift to the couple.
The draw takes place every Thursday in the Portlaoise Parish Centre. It can go to a maximum of €20,000 if there is a run of draws with no jackpot winners.
It can be played online via www.portlaoiseparish.ie with proceeds going towards supporting the parish churches, schools and communities.
