Bring your camping chairs as Forest Fest kicks off in Laois

Stage times for music and arts festival in Emo this weekend
Organisers of the boutique Laois music and arts festival Forest Fest have issued last minute tips as they welcome festival goers this weekend.
The festival in the centre of Emo village prides itself on being small and accessible, and they are keeping up the gentile tradition of allowing audiences to bring their own chairs in.
"A warm welcome to all of you arriving today for the 2024 Music and Arts Festival, Forest Fest 3! We are thrilled to have you join us for an unforgettable experience filled with music, arts, and community spirit. I know for many of you its your second and third time with us so welcome back to what promises to be a really special weekend. The line up is the best yet in our opinion so hopefully you get to see everyone you like.
"For those who may need to sit down, you are welcome to bring a folding chair into the festival site. Please be considerate of other attendees by not blocking areas in front of the stages or thoroughfares.
"We’ve resolved the phone charging issue. Charging points are now available in the general camping area, the campervan area, and the glamping site.
"f your group is arriving at different times, please ensure that the multi-person tent pass ticket holder shares a screenshot of the ticket with all group members for reference during check-in," the organisers say.

They are hoping for better weather than the deluge that hit a year ago.
"While the weather looks kinder this year which make everything that bit easier, we ask for your patience as we work to get everyone settled in. Our staff are extremely helpful and will do their best to address any issues promptly ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone. Finally, we wish you a fantastic time at Forest Fest 3! Stay safe on your journey here and get ready to create some wonderful memories. Let’s make this festival a celebration to remember," say Forest Fest.
The main road through the village is now closed to all but local traffic for the weekend, with a detour set up.
