Bulging bottle banks prompt an appeal from Laois County Council

Many bottle banks across the county are full as the post Christmas clear out gets underway.

Laois County Council is asking people not to leave bottles beside full bottle banks.

The council issued a notice stating that “due to the large amount of bottles being recycled at this time of year, you may find that some bottle banks are full.”

They appealed to people not to leave bottles beside bottle banks that are filled to capacity.

According to the council,  "the bottle banks will be emptied shortly.”

Laois County Council thanked the public for their cooperation.
