Burst watermain led to outages in parts of Laois

A burst watermain left householders around Timahoe and Ratheniska without water
Irish Water says a burst watermain left customers in the Timahoe and surrounding areas without water on Wednesday night.
A resident in the area said the water was reduced to a trickle in the early evening before shutting off altogether on Wednesday night. They were left without water this morning.
In a statement, Irish Water said: “Repairs to a burst watermain in the area were completed late last night and water supplies have been restored to affected customers.
Separately, Uisce Éireann is carrying out valve repair works in the area today. As a result, some customers may experience a temporary interruption to supply or reduced water pressure while these works are being completed.”
Work on the valve was due for completion by 2pm today.
