The owner admitted he had no NCT test booked
A motorist was fined for having two bald tyres and no NCT.
Jonas Baguckis(39) of 34 Rathevan Close, Portlaoise was accused of the offences at Jessop Street, Portlaoise on November 27, 2023.
Garda David Collins said he discovered the two front tyres were bald and that there was no NCT on the 12DL registered white Audi car. He said the defendant informed him that he didn’t have an NCT booked for the car. He was issued with fines for the NCT and the bald tyres but they weren’t paid. He said the man had five previous convictions.
Judge Andrew Cody fined the man €500 for not having a valid NCT and €250 for each of the two front tyres. The man was given three months to pay the €1,000 in fines.
