Be in the audience in Stradbally for Mountrath woman’s show

Laois woman and one of Ireland’s most popular broadcasters, Claire Byrne, is hitting the road this summer with her popular Newstalk morning radio show and her choice of broadcast location is Stradbally.

On Tuesday, June 23, The Claire Byrne Show broadcasts live from Ballykilcavan Farm and Brewery as part of Newstalk’s Summer Tour in association with ESB.

While you can tune in from 9 am to midday, a select few members of the public are being offered a chance to be in the Mountrath woman’s audience for the live broadcast at the venue on the Athy Road.

Tickets are free but you must register and show proof on the day, either by printing tickets or having them downloaded on your smartphone.

Speaking about Newstalk’s Summer Tour, Eric Moylan, Managing Editor of Newstalk, said: “The Summer Tour is one of the highlights of our year. It’s a chance to step outside the studio, connect directly with the people who listen to us every day across Ireland, and celebrate the stories, voices and places that make this country unique.’’

The broadcast coincides with the inaugural Farming for Nature Festival at Ballykilcavan on June 22 and 23. Lydia Lishman is the event organiser on the Walsh-Kemmis family farm.
