Differing Met Éireann forecasts for Electric Picnic weekend weather

Met Éireann has yet to nail its colours to the Electric Picnic weather forecast mast and its a far from certain situation depending on which forecast you believe but dry conditions are on the cards.
The forecaster's extended monthly forecast issued one week before the start of the Stradbally fiesta predicts different conditions depending on what side of Ireland you are on.
The forecast from Monday, August 28 to Sunday, September 3 is signaling mostly changeable weather to continue as low pressure dominates.
Met Éireann says this system will "generally" be positioned to the east of Ireland with higher pressure trending over the Atlantic. The extended forecast says rain will be below average for most of the country, with the exception being the east and northeast where rainfall totals will be near average.
The extended forecast adds that the mean air temperature will likely be normal for this time of year.
The Met Éireann farming commentary for the week ahead was issued on the same day as the extended forecast was published - Friday, August 25.
It says that the week ahead will be drier than average in all areas. It adds that most areas will see less than half of their average rainfall amounts, with total ranging from 4 to 15 mm, with the highest totals in Atlantic counties.
As for the sunshine forecast for farmers, Met Éireann says the coming week will be average or slightly above.
