Drugs case sent forward to Portlaoise Circuit Court

A man has been sent forward to Portlaoise Circuit Court on drugs charges.
Anthony Dermody, 30, of 118 Rossvale, Portlaoise is accused of possessing cannabis for sale or supply at his address on April 5, 2021.
Garda Lisa Murray of Portlaoise Garda Station gave evidence of serving a book of evidence on the defendant.
Garda Sergeant JJ Kirby said the defendant should be sent forward to the next sittings of Portlaoise Circuit Court beginning on June 13.
Judge Andrew Cody remanded the defendant on bail and sent him forward to the next sittings. He granted legal aid for a solicitor and one junior counsel.
