Fine for blocking Portlaoise footpath with car

A fine was handed out to the owner of a car which was “parked completely blocking the footpath” in Portlaoise. 

Deirdrea O’Brien Walshe of 13 Rathevan View, Portlaoise was fined for parking on the footpath at Fr Brown Avenue, Clonminam, Portlaoise on October 15, 2023. 

A Garda told a sitting of Portlaoise District Court that the 152 LS  blue Ford Focus registered to the defendant as “parked completely blocking the footpath” at 3.30pm on the date in question. 

Judge Nicola Andrews fined the woman €300.
