Fined for no tax disc

A Portlaoise man was last week convicted and fined for driving without a tax disc.

Michael Nevin, 5 Green View, Mountmellick Road, committed the offence at New Road, Portlaoise, on January 8 this year.

Defence solicitor said Nevin is on social welfare.

Judge Catherine Staines fined Nevin €200.

Recognisance was fixed in the event of an appeal.
