GAA releases registered teams for crucial Laois, Westmeath Joe McDonagh Hurling clash
Laois play in Mullingar as the quest to return to Liam McCarthy hinges on a win
The GAA has published the registered squads for the Laois V Westmeath Joe McDonagh Cup Round 3 game which will be crucial for the O'Moore ambition to get back to the top tier of hurling.
Laois got off to a bad start in the competition with a loss to Carlow but bounced back with a good win over Antrim. Laois, who are the highest-scoring team in the history of the Joe McDonagh Cup (867), would be in the mix for a second final in a row with a win but a loss would put them as outsiders in this year's second-tier GAA hurling championship.
The game throws in on Saturday, May 9, at 5 pm in Cusack Park, Mullingar.
