Garda Chiefs visit Electric Picnic for final preparations

The Laois Offaly Garda Chief was in Stradbally preparing for the arrival of revellers this weekend.

Assistant Garda Commissioner Paula Hilman and Laois Offaly Chief Superintendent Anthony Lonergan led operational briefings and final walkthroughs to ensure everything runs smoothly and safely at Electric Picnic on Wednesday.

Laois Offaly Gardaí advised people to use “public transport and the shuttle buses from Portlaoise/Portarlington if you can, or check the Garda traffic plan before driving”. See plan here: https://bit.ly/4zDKAGK

They also asked people to “look out for each other. Our Gardaí are out in force across the site and on the roads – don’t hesitate to approach us if you need directions, help, or want to report a concern.”
