Gardaí say driver was three times the alcohol limit while doing 168kph in Laois

The motorist was driving a Skoda on the M7 when they arrested by Laois Roads Policing Unit
Gardaí say a driver detected at 168kph in Laois was three times over the alcohol limit.
The motorist was detected driving in hazardous conditions on the M7 motorway in Laois.
“Laois Roads Policing Unit stopped this vehicle speeding at 168KPH in freezing conditions on the M7. More worryingly was the fact that the driver was arrested and found to be three times over the alcohol limit.”
Gardaí said the driver has been charged and is due to appear before Portlaoise District Court in early 2025.
